Island Hopping Itinerary: 3 Days in Komodo National Park

If you're dreaming of turquoise waters, sandy beaches, and wild adventures, a trip to Komodo National Park might be just what you need. Spread across several islands in eastern Indonesia, this UNESCO World Heritage site is known for its rugged beauty, rich marine life, and – of course – Komodo dragons. Komodo Island tour packages can help get you started, but let’s break down how you could spend three amazing days exploring this stunning place island by island.

Day 1: Komodo Island and Pink Beach
Start your journey on Komodo Island, home to the famous Komodo dragons. You’ll need a guide for safety, and they'll keep you at a safe distance while giving you lots of interesting facts along the way. The dragons may look lazy, but they can move fast when they want to – so play it safe and stick with the group. After your reptile encounter, cool off with a short boat ride to Pink Beach. The sand here gets its rosy color from crushed red coral, and it’s a lovely spot to swim and snorkel. The water is clear and full of colorful fish and healthy coral reefs.

Day 2: Padar Island and Manta Point
Head to Padar Island early in the morning. The hike to the top is a little steep, but the view is worth every step – imagine green hills and three crescent-shaped beaches, each a different color! It’s a perfect spot for photos, so don't forget your camera. Next, jump in the boat and head to Manta Point for some snorkeling. If you're lucky, you’ll get to swim near gentle manta rays gliding through the water. They’re enormous but harmless and watching them swim is something you won't forget.

Day 3: Kanawa Island and Sebayur
Your last day can be a bit more relaxed. Start with Kanawa Island for some peaceful swimming and snorkeling. The beach here is quiet and clean, and you could spend hours just floating over the reefs. Later, stop by Sebayur Island, where you can enjoy a last swim or just lie back on the beach and enjoy the view. The calm water and soft sand make it a great place to end your trip.

Three days will pass quickly, but you'll come back with great memories and maybe even a little sunburn. Just remember to bring your hat, camera, and a sense of adventure!
